More than half the Abu Dhabi kitchens we rebuild are actually two kitchens. The visible one opens to the family living area and carries the joinery, the island and the stone. Behind it sits the working kitchen where the heavy cooking happens, sized for a family that cooks daily and hosts often. Getting that pair right — extract, service route, door swing, sightline from the majlis corridor — matters far more in the capital than in a Dubai apartment where a single galley is the whole conversation.
On Saadiyat and Yas the riser and drainage positions were fixed by the Aldar handover, so we design the pair around what can actually move. In Khalifa City and Al Bateen villas there is usually room to reconfigure properly, including moving the prep kitchen to a better service route. Cabinetry comes from our own workshop and is fitted after a laser survey of the finished opening.

Approvals and permits in Abu Dhabi
Reconfiguring an Abu Dhabi kitchen needs an ADM modification permit where a wall is structural or a wet area moves, plus ADDC coordination if the electrical load increases for new appliances. Island communities require consultant review first, and towers on Al Reem and Al Raha need building-management fit-out approval, insurance and lift bookings. We assemble and lodge the pack.

Eight to ten weeks on site for a villa kitchen, and eleven to thirteen where a show kitchen and prep kitchen are rebuilt together. Stone templating adds a week after cabinets are installed.
